New York Steak with Garlic Butter

olive oil

Cloves grated garlic

butter

Tbsp.
capers
1
Tsp.
kosher salt

Tsp.
table ground black pepper

Tsp.
of your chosen steak seasoning, “Montreal Steak” is a good one
Instructions
Bring steaks to room temperature
In a small bowl, combine salt, pepper, and the steak seasoning
Apply dry rub to all sides of steak
Prepare onions and 2 tbsp butter for use later
Using a cast iron skillet, add olive oil and heat the skillet to medium-high heat.
Cook steaks in skillet for roughly 2 minutes on the first side
After flipping the steaks, add in the garlic, onions and 2 tbsp butter: cook for another 2 minutes
Place steaks onions and garlic on a plate and cover for 5 to 10 minutes
In a small microwave-safe bowl, microwave the 2 tbsp butter until fully melted. Stir in the capers.
Cut steaks against the grain and plate them
Apply melted butter, capers, garlic and onions to steak
Serve and enjoy
